The last time we were in Tokyo we could not believe how many people were walking down the street looking at their cell and texting or video-chatting as they walked.
Absolutely. On the trains, too. It's considered rude to talk on trains here, so a cell phone is a favorite thing to listen to (tunes with headphones, of course) or text chat or browse the net or whatever. Lots of pretty high end games, too, but I don't know jack about games. The phones are quite good here, obviously, but also voice communications is expensive so that's another reason for the large amount of texting and gaming and browsing.
And thanks for the other references, too. Jim _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
