Not sure how the installer works when wanting to install on a partition,
I usually use a whole disk, but try removing the ext3 partition so that
it sees free space. Also, you probably need to go into advanced disk
setup to select a specific partition.

Be sure to remember the order of the partitions, it'll enumerate it
device style cXdXpX. C is controller, D is disk (0/1 on IDE, always 0 on
SATA), P is partition. There's also a T, but that's only with SCSI.
