Another thought: is there a list of contributions (and bug reports for bugs subsequently fixed) that have been backported to Solaris 10? One early example of something that I think was a contribution and now shows up in the Solaris 10 man page is the -D option for zpool import; something probably not that hard to do, but a life-saver if one has mistakenly deleted a zpool.
Presumably features and fixes to the stable production version of the OS help retain and attract customers.
