Actually, this problem affects all non-English locales. But, since it does not bother English locale users, no priority will be given. I remember I made a big fuss about it when I first discovered this problem several months ago, I was "rest assured" that this thing will be taken care of--should have known better. :-( For a non-techie user, one of the first things s/he does with a "new computer" is, more likely than not, open the file manager (by clicking on the home icon), then open the documents folder. You can imagine how disappointed a new OpenSolaris enthusiast will become if s/he is not an English speaker. This problem can be easily solved, but we chose not to be bothered. Sun spent so much $$$ and made so big a deal about the multi-lingual aspects of OpenSolaris, but now we should all pray that no one outside the English speaking world pays much attention, because if anyone does, the experience is not going to be a healthy one. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
