I don't know if anyone who is with OpenSolaris desktops for some time is not aware that Sun's GNOME desktop QA team has its situs in Beijing. But I am just wondering how this fact has anything to do with my complaint about low priority given to non-English locale issues. Actually, since you mentioned it, my previous comment that "[t]o my best knowledge, not even Sun's own employees use OpenSolaris, unless, of course, when it is required by their jobs" was specifically referring to Sun's Beijing team members. Most of them have dual-boot Solaris (which is distinguishable from OpenSolaris that I was talking about) and Windows on their machines. I must mention that this was my observation some time ago. However, when something so egregious but yet also so conspicuous is allowed to persist, I doubt if the situation has changed much.
