Both ac[] and al[] don't look this interesting to me...

Yep, there are no threshold temperatures defined,
so that tzp->current_level will never change and
always remains at -1 (so the code will never call
tzmon_set_power() to enable / disable any fans).

The serial port output log from one of the previous
messages did contain ::msgbuf output, but it was
truncated - the initial part of the kernel messages
where missing. Does the kernel log any acpi or
tzmon error messages to /var/adm/messages?

I suspect that this T60p doesn't overheat when
running other operating systems (Windows? Linux?) ?

Booted my favorite Linux LiveCD and ran
# while true; lzma -c -9 /tmp/scd0.img > /dev/null; done
and
# dd if=/dev/sda1 | lzma -c -9 > /dev/null
in parallel with scd0.img being the content of the CD copied into the RAM and sda1 the 186GB whole-disc-partition on the harddisk. Watched 3 Episodes of a TV-series with some interruptions and didn't notice any unusual behavior while both cores were at 99% to 100% usage according to top (separate CPU mode) the whole time. After reading your mail I rebooted again and sent a break after the hostname was set to drop into kmdb and guess what, ::msgbuf starts with ACPI-errors:
[1]> ::msgbuf

ACPI Error (uteval-0305): Method execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.LPC_.LECP._STA] (N

The whole thing is attached as usual *grin*
