The official "release" opensolaris 2009.06 is pretty old now. It's still good, but the debate about the next release is mostly just choosing precisely *which* release to call 2010.03. So you might consider one of the newer developer builds instead: >From http://opensolaris.org (under downloads) you'll see 2010.03 Developer builds. It says you can download from genunix.org. The latest one is: http://genunix.org/dist/indiana/osol-dev-134-x86.iso Plenty of bug fixes and new features. I hate it when I want to do something, and I find the man page that says "Just type in this" and then I discover my version is too old to do that. You boot from the CD, and on the desktop, you'll find the "Install OpenSolaris" icon. Launch it. _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
