I'm in a similar situation - less than 6 months with OSOL, but slowly getting 
what I need. If you want to go down the Virtual Box +Win guest road (I've found 
that very useful for keeping going legacy Windows software e.g. drivers for 
scanners/printers  that can't be replaced ) you'll need dev_124 or later for  
USB support in the guest. Why not go from 2009.06 on the live CD to dev_134 
until the next stable release "2010.03" ? I've found the Forum helpful. Good
