I am trying to free up diskspace on the eeepc. I don't just want to turn gnome
off. I want to remove it completely.

Milax is quite good but it is not fully IPS. So you can't image-update it.

In a linux distro you can typically apt-get remove gnome or ubuntu-desktop and
it is all gone. I do understand the IPS is still under heavy development.

It would be good to be able get rid of gnome with something like:

pfexec pkg uninstall gnome-desktop

or something like that.

For the moment I have snv_96. I am pkg image-updating and maybe tonight I will
get gcc-dev and try to build LXDE. Then I can manually remove all the gnome
packages I guess.

Unless there is an easier way??
