I now have MilaX on my eeepc. It is definitely a lightweight distro. I got the wireless networking going.
There is a link on how to use IPS with MilaX: http://www.milax.org/?p=23 How do I set up the official http://pkg.opensolaris.org to work with MilaX? And any other repositories that are actually working? Also 'beadm list' does not appear to exist. What do I need to install that command? Thanks to those who replied. IMHO (and to be fair I think the developers are well aware of this) long term there needs to be several install images. A desktop (or perhaps the inevitable KDE/Gnome variants) on CD/DVD, a lightweight desktop and a server install.
