Hi Justin,

What OpenSolaris version are you trying to install? What machine
do you have?

I remember that I couldn't install OpenSolaris 2008.05 on my old Acer
TravelMate 2355 laptop with only 512 MB RAM. I was able to choose GUI
or text console from GRUB menu, but my laptop restarted while booting
process. I was trying disable ACPI support by the kernel, according to
advice of some people, but it didn't help me.

I also was trying with BeleniX 0.7.1 and MilaX 0.3.1 and OpenSolaris
2008.11 b96. Fortunately BeleniX and the latest build of OpenSolaris
was solution of my problem. So I suggest you to try the newest build
of OpenSolaris 2008.11, if you still use its older version.

Good luck!

Pawel
