Interestingly I don't think this is exactly bootable ZFS, but a very clever work around. I think what I have is 3 bootable disks with a mirrored pool defined across them. Of course it does exactly what I would like it to do so I am not worried.
I believe that grub is still using UDF or is it UDS file systems. It looks like the next release of Opensolaris will actually have grub improved to use ZFS. Apparently there is also a way to do that, but I am very happy with what I have. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
