Thanks... Is there any text installer, though? Or anything I can possibly use to reduce the install CD's RAM consumption?
Because the Automatic Install CD wouldn't finish booting, I tried usingthe live CD... It actually got to the desktop, which is better than can be said of the 2008.05 live CD, but was extremely slow and unresponsive, and trying to start the installer caused it to run out of RAM almost immediately - I waited fifteen minutes and the installer still would not launch, while my CD drive continued to click away. There has to be some way to get around this lack of RAM... (If there isn't, could someone please pass it on to the dev team that RAM consumption is still a major issue? ) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
