Thank you for responding. I am running x86 OpenSolaris 2008.5 build 86.
To install realplayer, I logged in as root. I downloaded files from Sun: realplay_bin_s10_i386.tar.gz realplay_pkg_s10_i386.tar.gz I create a folder off my home directory called realplayer, moved the sun files into my realplayer directory, and uncompressed, and untarred, the files there. I set all permissions to 777. I can run the realplay script. Realplayer will come up, but it will not run anything. As to xchm: how do I download and install it? I followed the directory you posted, but there seems to be nothing to download - unless I want to individually download each of the dozens of files, and try to put the application together myself. pkg-get did not come with a lot of instructions. It seems to run, I don't any errors. But, I don't seem to able to actually install anything with it. I always get "no catalog found" messages. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
