Hi, I've just installed 2008 11 on my Toshiba Portege M500 laptop. Installation took about 15-20 minutes.
* all hardware detected and drivers installed except for SD card reader * suspend to RAM works fine after enabling S3 * wireless works fine with WPA/TKIP (could not get it working with WPA2/AES) The problem I have is that it's quite sluggish compared to OpenSUSE 11 and FreeBSD 7 on the same laptop. FreeBSD was super fast on this. I expected Opensolaris to be in the same league. Opensolaris appears to be quite hungry on RAM as well. I've got 1G but that seems to be barely enough. I can see couple of megs on the swap even when idling. Is this normal??? Kaps -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
