The best results I have was with a Tyan Thunder S2892, with two AMD dual core 275 Opterons and 4GB of memory. Firefox runs like lightning and never dumps cores like in Solaris 10 all the time. The most amazing thing with this motherboard are the network interfaces: there are three and OpenSolaris always selects automatically the right one. Something which is not always the case with other motherboards.
The results on my Asus P5KR (Q6600 and 4GB) are somewhat less. The OS works fine and is very fast, but the GUI takes ages to come up. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
