I wiped all the LWS packages from my main OpenSolaris box right before the
lifewithsolaris.jp site went down because I had borked my IPS setup by
attempting to install the "lsof" utility from Blastwave and I was trying to
repair the damage by rolling back to old snapshots and removing as many
unneccessary IPS packages as possible (lsof appears to be incompatible with ZFS
as of right now... and I eventually did get IPS working again, but that's
another story for another thread).

However, one thing we could try to do is to try to extract the installed LWS
binaries and configuration files from your ThinkPad and surgically implant them
on your other computer (kind of like a surgical organ transplant). I do know
it's possible to easily mirror an existing IPS repository that's already up on
the internet (I'm currently kicking myself for not mirroring LWS when I had the
chance to do so) but I'm not 100% sure yet what all would be involved in
surgically moving already installed packages from one OpenSolaris machine to
another. I'm guessing that a possible limitation in transplanting already
installed binary packages like this is that the organ donor OpenSolaris machine
and the organ recipient OpenSolaris machine would both have to have the same
Nevada Build (i.e. they would both have to be snv_86 or both be snv_98 or
whatever) for it to work. Just like how in real life organ transplants, the
donor and the recipient would need to have compatible blood types.
