I guess all I have to do is unpack the tar, then make sure I've got the GNU C++ compilers, use "su" to beomce root and then do a:
./configure command inside the VLC directory to create a makefile and then make install. Too bad I'm not anywhere near a computer with OpenSolaris on it right now (I'm currently on one of my Ubuntu Linux machines at work). -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
