[osol-help] blastwave and sunfreeware package not added in Solaris

Does anybody know of any remotely exploitable "root holes" in VLC media player? 
This might be a good reason for me to junk mplayer all together and just use 
nothing but VLC, because I haven't figured out yet what it is that mplayer does 
that VLC player can't already do better.
