Interesting link you've posted here. The last sentence is very funny: "Don't use the C shell for any scripts. Executive decision. End of discussion." At work whole my life I needed to use the C-shell on both Solaris and Red Hat. To answer your question, it's also still not very clear to me what can and cannot be done...
