Then it's a good thing you're writing these shell scripts for your own use,
and not for integration to the OpenSolaris or Solaris operating systems.
These rules apply to scripts becoming part of the release, not scripts written
by users to run on it.
Still, not writing scripts in csh has been well accepted advice for decades:
