Snorbert ... I've had the same experience on a Whitebox P-4 Celeron PC with
standard ATA drives.
After a graphics installation (which worked perfectly) I now cannot add another
(say slice 6) area.

I've tried a 512 byte dd to overwrite the label, but that wasn't successful.
I will be forced to try your method of NOT using the graphical installation
method.

PS: This machine hosted Solaris 10 03/05 before OpenSolaris, which worked fine.
