>From your install log from snv_b78's developers edition: > Set user root in password and shadow file > list_ufs_db:: The entry 'dell' was not found in the /etc/passwd table Set > user > dell in password and shadow file Are you answering `dell` in one of the forms in the GUI install in the same way the previeous on snv_b77 developers edition?
Then if install ? are answered the same way between versions. looks like you need to submit a bugid: http://www.opensolaris.org/bug/report.jspa needs to be submitted against snv_b78's developers edition version on: > - Selecting locale (en_US.UTF-8) > WARNING: SUNWseuos depends on SUNWi7cs, which is not selected > - Configuring boot device > - Using disk (c0d0) for "rootdisk" As a work around you might want to go back to snv_b77's developers edition, create a same size partition on slice 3 c0d0s3 as your slice 0 root size. and run a lucreate , luupgrade , luactivate. Then also submit bugid with the kernel booted options -v when you select e to edit the grub menu then run /usr/X11/bin/scanpci ; prtdiag -v ; prtconf -pv; dmesg ; uname -a ; cat /etc/release and the install log with the errors and the steps to duplicate the error.
