Dear Mr. Brewer,
     I did a copy and paste on the whole string ( uname -a ; cat /etc/release ; 
cat /var/adm/messages ; prtdiag -v ; prtconf -pv ; /usr/X11/bin/scanpci ; 
/usr/X11/bin/scanpci -v ) could  this string be further altered to print the 
output to an empty file document?
