Yes the problem can be isolated to the motherboard, since I also tried unplugging the CD-ROM drive. This mobo is based on the Intel ICH9R and P35 chipsets (north- and southbridge respectively), but I don't know what chipset the IDE connector is part of. There is only one IDE connector by the way.
A few things also: - Sometimes the bootup sequence hangs with the following message, instead of the warnings in my first post: WARNING: /[EMAIL PROTECTED],0/pci1043,[EMAIL PROTECTED],2 (uhci5): Connecting device on port 1 failed - Booting from one of the sata ports shows no warnings, but I am using all (six) of them for my RAID array. I have seen a few others complaining about similar warnings, so I don't think my motherboard is faulty. It's possible to blame it on the fairly new and untested chipsets this motherboard has don't you think?
