IF the /dev/rge and /dev/rge0 is already in place and
# modinfo | grep rge
retuns the rge module you obviously DO NOT NEED Muriyama San's
gani Driver.
So forget the gani -driver.

17 and 18 might be a bit off topic.
There is no GUI/Menu driven way of doing this AFAIK.
This is all done through commandline and editing config files.
