Hi Bodie - I agree on the user work :-) My only problem is that Linux and Solaris are similar in some ways but different in others ... and as I am inexperienced I don't know which logs are the best ones ... it is sometimes better to let people ask for the most appropriate log file.
...but I am making notes on what you are asking for ... I will learn. To come back to the updates, the machine now doesn't boot. The start up goes... Solaris copyright Hostname mount ZFS (8/8) ... and hangs there for about 2 minutes. Then the screen goes blank and there is no activity. I have left it at that point for 10 minutes and it hasn't moved.
