Hi, so back to basics. It's bad that IPS can't update to chosen build :-( One of To-Do's for developers in future? :-) Because I think that build 129 and lower will be ok with your laptop.
1) info in dmesg (/var/adm/messages) either you have this bug again http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=4240 or you can't use this disk http://groups.google.com/group/comp.unix.solaris/browse_thread/thread/175b4c25ac31eca1?pli=1 2) ::prtusb -v It detects your disk, but can't identify it correctly 3) cfgadm -v Your external disk is not detected. Maybe it's because name conflict in /var/adm/messages (?). So you can try to configure it with cfgadm (man cfgadm) or try to remove/disconnect your Iomega (USB flash disk or some external USB disk) and then try to connect your problematic disk and check all three steps again -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
