I would be too:-) This is the reason why there is question mark in
subject and "apparent"s and "if"s everywhere. I mean I'm not suggesting
any answers, rather seeking for them...

Yes, it appears so. Working theory is that it's result of jitter in
clock multiplier, which can be subject to fluctuations. On the other
hand I should point out that there ought to be multiple factors in play.
I'd argue that multiplier jitter can't explain presence of such high
spikes. Is it kind of interference pattern with DRAM refresh? For
example note the sometimes they are higher and sometimes lower [in this
particular case], which surely has something to do memory chips being
accessed in specific pattern as subroutine progresses through output
vector, doesn't it?
