Obviously we are not the target audience for that term. I think we are deep enough in OpenStack and technically-focused enough to see through that. But reality is, the majority of the rest of the world is confused, and needs help figuring it out. Giving the category a name is a way to do that.
Maybe don't ask the inmates what the asylum/prison should be called. Why don't we have people that are confused about this weighing in on this thread? Oh right because they don't subscribe to, or read, or reply to a development mailing list.
God I feel like I waste an inordinate amount of time each week reading about what new process or thing we're going to call something, rather than actually working on getting stuff done for the release or reviewing changes. I'm tired of constant bureaucratic distraction. I believe it has to be demoralizing to the development community.
I'm not trying to offend or troll so much as vent some frustration. -- Thanks, Matt __________________________________________________________________________ OpenStack Development Mailing List (not for usage questions) Unsubscribe: [email protected]?subject:unsubscribe http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack-dev
