Sorry to continue to ask about this, but… Running OpenVAS v6 on Ubuntu server 14.04 I have manually installed arachnid, nikto, dirb and wapiti I have made sure that the executables are in the path via the method mentioned below (/etc/bash.bashrc) and via /etc/environment. I can execute each from the command line. I still get these when scanning: I have searched and cannot find a fix for my issue…

To get around this, you can add to /etc/bash.bashrc: export PATH="${PATH}:/usr/local/rvm/bin" export PATH="${PATH}:/usr/local/share/nikto" export PATH="${PATH}:/usr/share/wapiti" On Fri, Sep 5, 2014 at 9:01 AM, Jack Harvey <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: I realize I’m probably asking something already asked…and maybe a dumb question for which I apologize. I’m running OV 6 on Ubuntu. In my reports I have this sort of info: Arachni could not be found in your system path. I get this for a couple of others…Nikto and DirB I have manually installed all 3 of these and added them into the PATH (/etc/environment) And can run them from the cli. I still get these messages. Is there some trick to this? Please be kind in your response…I’m old and slow… Jack Harvey RHCE CISSP Synnex Corporation 864-349-4939<tel:864-349-4939> _______________________________________________ Openvas-discuss mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://lists.wald.intevation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss
