I did not say that, it is what I have done here. I generated an OVPN file which is not encrypted so no password required for the connection. Then I imported it on the router as the OpenVPN profile when creating the connection. This worked as intended. But what I was asking about was how to "disconnect" from VPN using a simple command from the local network. And it should be easy to connect/disconnect. Obviously if one lets the user log in to the admin GUI he can go to the VPN page and deactivate the OpenVPN connection. This probably will restart the router and then in normal mode without a VPN tunnel. But since the user is non-technical it is a non-starter to do that. BTW, there seems to be a possibility to add more than one profile, at least on a RT-AC68U router. But I do not know if a second profile could also use the OpenVPN client or if these could be both active at the same time. If so then there could be a problem for packet routing; which tunnel to use... Anyway, as I said I gave up on it. And it is now too late anyway, the router is packed up and to be delivered tomorrow morning... -- Bo Berglund Developer in Sweden _______________________________________________ Openvpn-users mailing list Openvpn-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openvpn-users
