If you want a Gigabit router, get a mini-itx dual core intel x86, and run
zentyal or some other router sw on it.
The reason most of us run openwrt, is because the NEWER kernels, such as
3.14+ have better management of latency. That helps us with sub 100 mbit
speeds when link gets saturated.
Stock firmware was never able to do this reliably for me. FIFO? LOL.
Give me fq_codel or give me death, hahaha.
