 Look, I am not a programmer, nor pretend to know how much they go through
 to get things working.  What I can say, is that a lot of programs are
 written in a cheap manner, to get things done- but are not very portable.
 Same problem exists in my field, electrical- where some specialized
 manufacturers are exempt from following normal code requirements, this
 making their devices propietary and strange to connect to standard
 devices.  Think of how apple made their phones with a NON-USB connector,
 and how that would pertain to code that is non-standardized.

 So, think about this: the OEM's made their code to work for their
 firmware.  They took shortcuts to make it work the easiest they could.
 Openwrt, being designed to be modular and work across a range of devices,
 cannot use the same framework.

 If you want hw-nat, use the stock firmware.  Nowadays, I stick with
 gargoyle based on OPENWRT, but overclock the router cpu to 800 mhz.
 Best would be to run a low power x86 PC, much less hassle and no cpu
 limitation.
