allow me to restate that if the revision information was made available at the primary download location, which is http://downloads.openwrt.org/, http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/ and http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/8.09/ . none of those makes mention of a new image revision. additionally, opkg update just retrieves the package list from the server. the package list isn't retained after a reboot.
