You are the first one asking, until now we had mainly "enterprise" customers running this on hardware or virtualized machines. We discussed this internally but did not spent much time on investigating this. I dont know much about docker but it should be possible to run a background process as docker "guest", if there is a need to have the main process to stay attached, that should be a very simple change on the init scripts of OpenXPKI.

If you can tell me more about your problems, I am happy to try to help you. It would help a lot when you share the docker image somewhere or make it accessible for us.
