I just read an article on Slashdot about Pandora and how the compensate fairly their artists. Of course, Pandora is under constant attack _by_ the music industry (RIAA etc) because it undermines its business model. There are other ways to protect copyright and simultaneously to generate a fair income for direct stakeholders.
