Eric, I do not doubt that other RPMs are missing but the RPMs i pointed are base prereqs. Without those, no way you can use OSCAR.
I have to admit that i do not know how FC8 works and the weird point is that if you look at the mirrors (such as http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/fedora/linux/releases/8/Everything/i386/os/Packages/), the RPMs that are missing on your system are actually available. I do not know why your DVDs do not include those RPMs. Regards, On Tue, 2008-02-05 at 11:27 -0900, eric gisse wrote: > More than 3. the xml tree and xml html packages were needed after > that, and after those 5 were all installed it made it to the wizard > stage. > > It's the FC8 release dvd. > > On Feb 5, 2008 5:55 AM, Geoffroy Vallee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: > Hello, > > So clearly three RPMs are missing: dhcp, xinetd, php-pear, > xmlstarlet. > > Can you tell me what CDs or DVDs did you use? > > Question for other OSCAR developers/users: what are the RPMs > you use for > those packages? > > Thanks, > > > On Mon, 2008-02-04 at 19:23 -0900, eric gisse wrote: > > Ok. > > > > First, this is a _brand new_ install of FC8.
