Hi,
This is really a great pleasure to see people interrested in OSCAR again :-)
DongInn, I've worked on fedora-17-x86_64 port last WE and it is near to be
functional. Thanks to this, I4ve found and fixed a few set of oscar bugs. I've
even managed to build a recent systemimager (not yet tested unfortunately). I
gave a look at oscar-configurator and I've identified 2 or 3 things that needs
to be fixed (centos6 as well): grub2, systemd and NetworkManager).
It is available here:
http://olivier.lahaye1.free.fr/OSCAR/repos/unstable/fc-17-x86_64/
So far, I've been able to reach the build image step (but this needs tunning).
Once passed, I should be able to test the systemimager inird and kernel when
deploying a node.
I'm now working on systemimager build under centos-6 (priority). It builds, but
packaging fails because of makefile race conditions and bad include orders when
using CFLAGS variable, but I think I'm near a build success and hopefully a
working systemimager).
Best regards.

Objet : Re: [Oscar-devel] RHEL6 X86_64 OSCAR package repository
Hi Chuck,
What distro are you using to build the OSCAR packages?
I am wondering 1) if it is possible for you to provide me with the ssh access
to your distro.
Or 2) if you can write a script to check your working copy is updated and if it
is not fully updated, the script updates your working copy and then builds the
packages only whose source tree is updated. If your script is ready, I can
setup rsync access to your machine.
BTW, your system needs to be prepared to run "oscar-packager" and to build all
the OSCAR packages through oscar-packager.
If you have any issues or questions about setting up "oscar-packager" in your
system, please let us know.
Maybe, we'd better write an instruction of this on our website.
I think that this is not perfect but this would be really helpful for the OSCAR
community.
Thank Chuck very much for your willingness.
Regards,

I'll build packages. What is the workflow? Just build and push

Hi,
I have tried to setup a small system to synchronize the OSCAR package
repository
(http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/) with
the svn commit activities.
This is only for rhel6 x86_64 distro for now but if any one want to
volunteer to build packages for the different distros, please let us know.
The OSCAR user community would really appreciate your volunteer.
Maybe, I can open up another distro (e.g., fedora 17_x86_64) to build the
OSCAR packages but it would take some time.
The system has not tested with any new SVN commit yet and there may be
unexpected bugs. I will keep watching how it goes.
I hope that this could improve the process of the OSCAR development.
