This is not a problem to be concerned with.  It is purely informative.

Make sure that you have the proper lam installed.  RedHat packages a
version of lam, and you may have been stuck with that one.  You should
have lam-oscar-6.5.6-usysv.7 (and lam-oscar-module) installed.

Running the test scripts outside the test environment will invariably not
work well.  We include commands in our test suite to switch to the
appropriate mpi environment, and then switch back to the default when
they're over.  That would explain the mpich errors you got (I think).

Our lam does use ssh.  Check your version of lam (see above)
