HI Ben
I checked the /usr/oscar/oscarsamples/redhat-9-i386.rpmlist (my oscar
directory is /usr/oscar)
There is an entry for lilo.

I can login to the client node
I tried to run lilo manually then I get a error as
> Add 2.4.20-smp
> > Added vmlinuz
> > Added 2.4.20-0
> > Fatal :No images have been defined

Following is my /var/lib/systemimager/overrides/oscarimage/etc/systemconfig

systemconfig.conf written by systeminstaller.
CONFIGBOOT = YES
CONFIGRD = NO

[BOOT]
        ROOTDEV = /dev/sda6
        BOOTDEV = /dev/sda
        DEFAULTBOOT = nuz-2.4.20-8smp

[KERNEL0]
        PATH = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8smp
        LABEL = 2.4.20-8smp

[KERNEL1]
        PATH = /boot/vmlinuz
        LABEL = vmlinuz

[KERNEL2]
        PATH = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8
        LABEL = 2.4.20-8

And my /etc/lilo.conf
rompt
timeout=50
default=linux
boot=/dev/sda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
message=/boot/message
linear

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8smp
        label=linux
        initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.20-8smp.img
        read-only
        append="root=LABEL=/"

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-8
        label=linux-up
        initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.20-8.img
        read-only
        append="root=LABEL=/"
