I forming a cluster with 4 nodes : 1 server and 3 client nodes. But the problem
The installation on all the client goes on smoothly When first reboots after installation its etho is up and it has eth0 interface assigned the ip address 192.168.3.247 But the other 2 clients reboot I get error saying Bringing up interface eth0:Error some other host uses the ip address 192.168.3.248. I get the same error on third client but with ip address Bringing up interface eth0:Error some other host uses the ip address 192.168.3.249. But when I manually run service network restart on b oth the clients from CLI The interface is up . I am stuck up here Please help out Also to tell you I have compiled a new kernel on all the clients.ie 2.4.24 also for your reference this the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file DEVICE="eth0" ONBOOT="yes" BOOTPROTO="none" IPADDR="192.168.3.248" NETMASK="255.255.255.0" NETWORK="192.168.3.0" BROADCAST="192.168.3.255" I tried the solution Rajiv gave have the same problem exixts ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
