Hi Vincent:

I strongly suspect that you are seeing all these problem because OSCAR
is using the user 'vtrandal' to execute the programs - why?  That's a
difficult question to answer.

I suggest you do a start_over, and make sure you are using the root user
to install OSCAR, then you can go back and create your user accounts and
use OPIUM to push them to your nodes.
