Hello Bernard, Also I have started over many times (and I am willing to again). Each time I install everything under root login. After OSCAR wizard step 6 is completed successfully here's my process:
* Log into console under user account 'vtrandal' or 'test3' or any user * Run "startx" under user login * Open Xterm and su root, cd /opt/oscar, run ./install_cluster eth0 * Boot a client that has completed step 6 previously * Click on wizard step 7 on server * Watch OSCAR prompt me for the user password (for vtrandal or test3) many times * Get many "msktemp" and "rsync error" error messages When I run start_over it tries to deluser oscartst which does not exist. What I have not tried is OPIUM to push the accounts to the nodes. Maybe I should create user oscartst and use OPIUM to push that to the client nodes. Will that work? Also I should tell you that when I create an account on the server, the clients seem to know about it automatically. I say this because I cannot also create the same user account on the client without getting errors. Please note that I am using Mandrake 9.0 but I want to try Redhar 9.0 if you think it will solve my problems. Would that be better? But I feel like I am very close to successfully completing Oscar wizard steps 7 and 8 under Mandrake 9.0.
