Hi all,
My mistake, but that doesn't change that he deleted a page on OSFlash
without prior notice or asking people here.
Yes, this is not something that we should start doing without talking
about things here.
Any information about ways to use Flash that are currently undocumented
(such as Flash8 API) are welcome on OSFlash. I remind you that Sonke and I
are two of the three OSFlash administrators.
Again, this is true. It is in the spirit of the open source community to
tinker, discover, document, improve, etc. As I said earlier, however,
this does not include NDA violations (which I do not believe is an issue
here.)
On the subject of where it should be linked from: I just saw that the
link was added to the main navigation link. It would be good to debate
whether that is the best place for it. How central is the Flash 8
discussion to the Open Source Flash initiative? Is it as important as
the Open Source Projects and Tutorials? Perhaps it would be better to
link to it from the MTASC page on OSFlash.
I realize that this is a sensitive issue but I'm sure that we can
discuss it in a civilized manner and arrive at some conclusion that is
in line with the best interests of the OSFlash community (of which we
are all members.)
Aral
