OK, Time out.

This thread is getting way out of hand, turning into a beta testers vs. non
beta testers war.

Aral is really busy on a deadline right now and asked if someone could post
some reason and calmness to the list.

First of all, beta testers are not evil, data hiding Macromedia pawns. They
have worked hard over however many months to try to make sure the Macromedia
tools are the best they can be, probably for no compensation other than the
thrill of seeing stuff before anyone else. We should thank them, not attack
them.

Secondly, since nobody has even admitted to being a beta tester, it's all
speculation that the people who think one way must be beta testers and are
trying to hide the data.

Third, I haven't seen a single post here that has advocated hiding any data.
Nobody has said or even implied that this Flash 8 api stuff should not be
posted.

If there are beta testers here and they are against the stuff being a
central part of OS flash, it might be because they've seen it all and aren't
as excited about it as everyone else is. I'm sure that six months from now,
nobody is going to want a top level page on the wiki related to using the
drop shadow filter!

But yes, to everyone else it is very exciting, and because MTASC now
supports it, there is a connection to OS flash.

The only question is how relevant it is. OK, some think it should be top
level, and some think it should be under the MTASC page, and some think it
shouldn't be on OSFlash at all. I'm sure we can come to some agreement on it
without all the accusations and criticism.

Keith
