Can i just say as an unbiased observer: Flash 8 is not an open source project, therefore its api is not open source.
Reverse engineering an api is not an open source project - It IS, however, of great interest to a keen and proactive audience like osflash. So in summary, Yes, this is information is both valuable and interesting to most of us, but its not OSFlash specific - moreover, to play with the ideas suggested requires (for the most part) mtasc, it makes sense the page is located on or around the mtasc site, and linked to from osflash.
