Personally, I'm against any other player being deveoloped, open source or
otherwise. Part of the success of Flash is knowing you can pretty much write
once, run anywhere. Even minor version changes of the MM player (6.0.19.0 to
6.0.65.0) can cause headaches. If you then have to worry about who's version
of Flash player people are using, that's even worse.
