Or the fact that both os and osflash projects are largely
1) that of individuals and loose collections of individuals
2) that they are motivated by a passion to create
3) that they are done in one's free time
4) that they are typically created outside of traditional corporate structures
5) that they are sometimes misunderstood as a threat to those structures
6) that they sometimes actually are a threat to those structures
7) that they can occasionally be surprisingly good or sucessfull
I think it's a pretty good metaphor. I agree that it should look professional as well, but I don't see any reason why that can't work with the graffiti notion. And I agree that it can still use some work, but that's just a matter of continuing to work on it.
