I also would appreciate a site which covers this topic.
Especially the dual license is very interesting because Open Source of
course does not mean that the code owner can not earn money with his work.
Does anybody know successfull software which is dual licensed?

What are the pro and cons to open source commercial used software?
Without thinking about this too much (which means don't blame me ;) I came
to this:
Pro:
- open source means you don't sell a blackblox
- with a GPL you give people the possibility to extend your software while
releasing results also open source
- more audiance / acceptance
- many more ...

Cons:
- people steal your code ignoring your license. This is of source illegal.
- people steal code concepts / ideas which are not so obvious if the
software isn't open source. It is hard to say at what point this it starts
to be illegal.

Perhaps others like to add pros and cons or say something about the points I
mentioned.

Cheers,
Sönke
